42% of Delaware's college freshmen aren't ready for college-level work and spend their tuition gaining remedial skills they should've received for free in high school.
As part of its work to raise standards to better prepare students for the global workforce, Delaware joined 46 states in adopting the Common Core State Standards. Common Core standards are robust and relevant to the real world to better prepare students for college and career. Full implementation is set for the 2014 - 2015 school year.
